Following her loss to former President Donald Trump in the New Hampshire GOP primary, former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley gave a fiery speech to supporters, vowing to stay in the race and warning the former president that it's not over. Her fans obliged, chanting "Nikki!" and "Trump is a loser!"
"With Trump, Republicans have lost almost every competitive election," Haley said immediately prior to the "Trump is a loser," chant rising up. "We've lost the senate, we've lost the house, we lost the white house, we lost in 2018. We lost in 2020, and we lost in 2022."
That last chant captured the imagination of the internet, with commenters on social media exploding over the mockery of the former president even in his moment of victory.

"I mean, he does lose all the time. Like a lot," said lawyer and anti-Republican activist Ron Filipkowski. "Elections, court cases, business disputes. The only thing he wins consistently is the Club Championships at his own golf courses."
"Trump is a loser," echoed columnist Jennifer Mercieca. She added:
"For someone running an incumbent/presumed nominee campaign Trump looks pretty weak. Low turnout in Iowa, marginal win over Haley in a two-person race. Maybe voters aren't excited to vote bc Trump's already expected to win, but it's a bad look. He wants to show big wins, he's not."
"Please spread this far and wide," wrote Democratic activist Simon Rosenberg.
"I love the screams at the end of 'He’s a loser!'" wrote Russell Drew. "This is going to get beautifully ugly over the next few weeks, if Nikki Haley actually sees this thing through until South Carolina and maybe beyond."
While many agreed with Haley's assessment, many commenters were critical of her as well.
"She worked for Trump lmao," wrote Brad T. Casali. "She was afraid to say this Sh-t until now and that will be her downfall," wrote "JoJoFromJerz."
