Former President Donald Trump is running a "scam PAC" and misdirecting his supporters about where the money they are contributing to him is actually going, a former GOP operative alleged Monday.
Tim Miller, a former Republican insider turned Never Trumper, who weighed in on the situation on MSNBC as Trump continues to funnel more and more money into his civil and criminal court cases.
"Donald Trump's legal woes are also costing him an awful lot of money," said anchor Chris Jansing. "But he has it because, according to campaign finance reports filed with the FEC this summer, Trump Save America super PAC spent $20 million on legal fees in the first six months of this year. 2/3 of his political operation's total spending in the first half of the year, legal fees, his supporters just keep sending him money."

Regarding that situation, Jansing pressed Miller, "Does that continue indefinitely, do you think, or is there a bottom, is there a point at which people say, okay, these 20 e-mails I'm getting every day asking me for money, I can't keep sending you 20 bucks?"
"I think if he loses in 2024, it might stop," Miller said. The key takeaway, continued Miller, is that Trump is, "Running the definition of a scam PAC right now, and people are funding his legal fees."
But at least some people, Miller added, "are happy to keep giving him money as long as he keeps winning in the polls, and they don't really care how he's spending it.
