Donald Trump on Wednesday evening repeated some of the most common barbs he has previously used against Nikki Haley, but then he did something new: he said any Haley donors will be barred from Team Trump forever.

Trump, who recently beat Haley in the New Hampshire and Iowa primary contests, said on Wednesday, "Anybody that makes a 'Contribution' to Birdbrain, from this moment forth, will be permanently barred from the MAGA camp."

That didn't go over well with former prosecutor Ron Filipkowski, who said, "Trump issues a Mob Boss Fatwa tonight."

MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle agreed, saying, "Straight outta the Sopranos... threatening the deep pocket New Yorkers backing Nikki Haley." Ruhle went on to repeat the "Sopranos" line on air.

Author David Rothkopf simply said, "Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake."

The purported "fatwa" has even encouraged some to become donors.

Republican communicator Sarah Matthews posted a screenshot of her donation screen, saying, "Done. Join me in donating to [Haley]."

Georgia State law professor and political scientist Anthony Michael Kreis simply said, "Totally normal stuff" in response to the post by Trump.
