President Donald Trump downplayed his fiery feud with Elon Musk that exploded this week, telling reporters aboard Air Force One on Friday that he wasn’t giving the tech billionaire much thought – even as their public split made international headlines.

But behind closed doors, the president is actively asking aides about Musk’s recent behavior, including whether it may be tied to his alleged ketamine use, a source told CNN.

“Honestly, I’ve been so busy working on China, working on Russia, working on Iran, working on so many things, I’m not thinking about Elon,” Trump told reporters Friday as he flew to New Jersey. “I just wish him well.”

The new comments came days after Musk criticized what he called the “big, beautiful bill” Republicans on Capitol Hill have been vigorously pushing, which triggered a back-and-forth social media war and the official end of their MAGA alliance.

The Times last week cited multiple associates of Musk in an explosive report detailing the billionaire Tesla owner’s alleged drug use during his time on the campaign trail. Musk has publicly admitted to using legally prescribed ketamine in the past but denied the Times report.

Meanwhile, Trump said Friday he didn’t have “any plans” to speak to Musk, his former DOGE head.
