MS NOW rubs salt in GOPs wounds with supercut of Trump 'I'm on the ballot' boast

The hosts and producers of MS NOW’s “Morning Joe” piled on the reeling Republican Party after Tuesday’s midterm wipeout with a reminder that Trump boasted he was on the ballot when election results demonstrated that he was a massive drag on the party.

Returning from a commercial break, a supercut of Trump at multiple rallies was shown, where, in one instance, he told attendees: “Pretend I'm on the ballot because essentially I am on the ballot. But all I'm asking you to do is one thing: get out and vote. Because if you do, we're going to have a tremendous success.”

After showing him repeating various versions of that claim, co-host Joe Scarborough quipped, “He was, he was on the ballot and when Donald Trump is on the ballot, it brings out people who don't usually vote.”

"When Donald Trump is not on the ballot, Republicans lose,” he continued. “They lost in 2017. They lost in 2018, they lost in 2019. They lost in 2020, when he was on the ballot. They lost in ‘21. They lost in ‘22. They lost in ‘23. He won in 24. They lost in ‘25. They lost in ‘26. When Donald Trump is not on the ballot, they lose.”

“This was a big one,” co-host Mike Brzezinski. chipped in.
