No sooner had President Donald Trump touched down in Japan as part of his Asia tour, he was frantically posting on his Truth Social website that his fans should not believe ads illustrating his declining popularity.
As of late, the president has been furious about ads that showing him in a bad light, including one from Canada featuring an older clip of former President Ronald Reagan talking down using tariffs — a favorite weapon in Trump’s trade war.
That line of attack continued early Monday as most Americans slept.
First writing, “Many people are petrified by the Radical Left, but I’m not, they keep getting me, and other Republicans, elected!” he noted that he had landed in Japan, before launching a fresh attack.
“After winning THREE Elections, BY A LOT, I am now getting the best Polling Numbers that I have ever received,” he claimed, without providing any evidence or links.
“People see how strong the Economy is," he continued, "the Trillions of Dollars of Investment pouring into our Country, the Record Setting Strong Border (After years of millions of criminals pouring through it, totally unvetted and unchecked!), ending 8 wars in eight months, no men playing in women’s sports, no transgender for everyone, rapidly falling Energy prices, and much more!”
With those claims out of the way, he continued, “Despite all of this, the Radical Left Losers are taking fake ads, not showing REAL Polls, but rather saying that I’m Polling at low levels. These are the people that I’ve been beating for years, and am continuing to do so, but by even bigger margins. These ads should not be allowed to run because they are FAKE! “
The president did not specify which ads he was talking about nor which polls he believes are “fake.”
