According to former Republican National Committee chair Michael Steele, Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign's rapid response efforts and their "flexibility" is driving Donald Trump nuts, which is leading to a frenzy of late-night Truth Social "rage-tweeting."
Appearing on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," the co-host of MSNBC's "The Weekend" agreed with fill-in host Jonathan Lemire's claim that statements from the Harris campaign labeling the ex-president and his running mate Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) as "weird" is having an effect on Trump's psyche.
Calling the Harris campaign staff, "a little bit more aggressive, a little bit more edgy," than what was coming out of President Joe Biden's now-ended campaign, he explained, "That balance is something they'll do over the next couple of weeks."

"They'll have to layer into that, obviously, a vice presidential pick whose tone and the nuance of that will also have to get factored in," he continued. "But I love the flexibility here. I love the in-your-face, we're not going to lie down and curl up in the corner just because Donald Trump is rage-tweeting at 2:00AM — which says a lot if he is doing that. Which means this team has gotten under his skin. This team is going to be competitive."
"Will there be stumbles? Yes, because that is the nature of the game," he added. "But how they recover from that and how they set that up, I think, becomes the next side of the conversation going into the [Democratic] convention."
