Trump destroyed for claim of 'good news' on stimulus while things get worse: 'He wants people to suffer'

President Donald Trump spent his third day in golfing while at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida for Christmas vacation. Ahead of leaving Washington, Trump released a video saying that he wouldn't sign the COVID-19 stimulus and omnibus spending bill agreed upon by the House, Senate and White House.

If Trump doesn't sign the bill, the government shutdown will begin on Tuesday. If Trump is trying to be a "hero" for Americans and usher in more significant checks for Americans, he would likely bring down the economy as President-elect Joe Biden comes into office.

Trump then teased "good news" on Twitter after he returned from his golf outing. He, of course, refused to give specifics about what it was.

Many Americans are suffering through a recession and the coronavirus pandemic.
