Donald Trump jumped on Truth Social early Wednesday morning to proclaim victory after the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit put on hold a ruling hampering his trade war.
In the ruling issued late Tuesday night regarding tariffs, the court delivered what the New York Times called, "an important but interim victory for the Trump administration."
Despite the Times report stating, "But the government still must convince the judges that the president appropriately used a set of emergency powers when he put in place the centerpiece of his economic agenda earlier this year. The Trump administration has already signaled it is willing to fight that battle as far as the Supreme Court," the president is doing a victory dance on Truth Social.
He wrote, "A Federal Appeals Court has just ruled that the United States can use TARIFFS to protect itself against other countries. A great and important win for the U.S."
