Rep. Victoria Spartz (R-IN) vehemently denied President Donald Trump screamed and called her a "fake Republican" after she initially voted against the budget plan he supported.

Puck reported Wednesday that Trump called Spartz during a House floor vote on Tuesday.

"Spartz, sitting in the Republican cloakroom, took the call, and others could clearly hear the president's voice screaming out of the speaker," the report said. "She was a fake Republican derailing his agenda, he yelled. He was the president, he reminded her."

Soon after the president's call, the lawmaker decided to change her vote. In a Thursday social media post on X, Spartz did not deny that Trump's call had prompted her to vote for his agenda.

"Unbelievable how corrupt and low media reporting has became [sic] - they do not even bother anymore to inquire and spin lies with anonymous sources," Spartz wrote. "I was not planning to comment on the blatant lies from the fake media, but started to get inquiries from even more reputable outlets. I just cannot believe how low our level of journalism has became [sic]."

Spartz described Trump as a "strong man" but insisted he never yelled at her.

"I do not recall him ever raising his voice with me," she said. "We always have very thoughtful and meaningful discussions. He is my only hope to get things done!"

"Crazy blatant lie! What a sham!" the lawmaker added Thursday.
