'Get caught in a hot mess?': Trump aide's new attorney promoted practice with Barbie doll ad

Walt Nauta, the aide and co-defendant of former President Donald Trump, hired a Florida attorney just hours before his first appearance in a Florida courtroom – a former public defender who brags about her experience with DUIs and misdemeanors and promoted her law firm with a 'hot mess" Barbie doll.

Nauta pleaded not guilty to six federal charges, including conspiracy to obstruct justice, corruptly concealing a document or record and making false statements, at his arraignment Thursday morning. He was represented by defense attorney Sasha Dadan.

Dadan, who ran unsuccessfully in the Republican primary for the state legislature, claims to have represented more than 3,000 clients on a variety of charges while working in the public defender's office, and her private practice's website says she has handled civil cases, including domestic violence injunctions and child support matters.

Her firm's Twitter account promotes her practice with tongue-in-cheek ads.

Dadan is based out of Fort Pierce, where federal Judge Aileen Cannon will oversee trials for Nauta and the former president, who was indicted on 37 counts in connection with the Mar-a-Lago classified documents case.

A trial date has been set for Aug. 14, but that will almost certainly be pushed back to allow both sides to prepare.
