Two prominent election-denying Republicans this week flamed out in their quests to unseat incumbent lawmakers in Wisconsin.
The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reported that election deniers Tim Ramthun and Janel Brandtjen both came up well short in their bids to oust Republican Wisconsin State Sens. Dan Feyen and Dan Knodl, respectively.
In both cases, the incumbent Republicans won with roughly 65 percent of the primary ballots cast.
As the Journal-Sentinel noted, this was Brandtjen's second attempt at trying to unseat Knodl. She had former President Donald Trump's endorsement in both races.

Ramthun, meanwhile, similarly failed in his 2022 quest to become the Wisconsin GOP's gubernatorial nominee when he campaigned on what the Journal-Sentinel describes as "an illegal and impossible push to revoke Wisconsin's 10 electoral votes for Democratic President Joe Biden."
Trump has been feuding with Wisconsin Republicans for several years as he blames them for not doing more to overturn his loss to Biden in the Badger State.
In particular, Trump has targeted Republican Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos with primary challenges, though so far those have proven unsuccessful.
