An attorney and adviser to Donald Trump claimed the former president gave women "more rights" when he appointed three Supreme Court justices who would go on to end federal abortion rights.

During an Election Day interview on Fox News, Alina Habba responded to Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) after he pointed out that Trump had called to punish women for having abortions.

"I know he's an astronaut, but maybe he's on a different planet," Habba said of Kelly. "But we're leading in the polls right now, but we need to keep everybody out there to vote, including men."

"President Trump will not punish anybody," she continued. "There are females out to vote. And they are voting because we have been given more rights. We are being protected now."

"We are getting a choice to vote, to say what we want with our bodies. That is what President Trump did."

Habba accused Kelly of "damaging" Trump with "untrue" statements.

"So that's why I stand with President Trump, and that's why I'm doing that for my daughter as well, frankly," she insisted.
