Jim Jordan and Matt Gaetz throw cold water on Marjorie Taylor Greene's talk of impeaching Biden

Ohio GOP Rep. Jim Jordan is warning Republicans not to impeach President Joe Biden if Republicans take the House next year, POLITICO reports, even as his fellow GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene tries to turn the prospect into a "rallying cry."

Jordan appeared on Florida GOP Rep. Matt Gaetz's podcast, where the host warned against "impeachment fever," saying impeachment should be the last resort if a president is accused of "purposeful wrongdoing."

"...any time you have a president and a Congress that are in different parties, part of the ceremonial exchange of power will be an impeachment," Gaetz said.

Jordan agreed, saying that he's never been on board with the potential impeachment of Biden.

"There may be a time for that. You don't want it just to flip back and forth," Jordan said.

Georgia GOP Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene has repeatedly said she plans to file articles of impeachment against President Biden.
