Former president Donald Trump, played by James Austin Johnson, hijacked an episode of Fox News' "Justice With Judge Jeanine" in SNL's Cold Open on Saturday.
The segment also mocked anti-vaxx Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, played by Pete Davidson.
Virginia GOP Gov.-elect Glenn Youngkin was unable to define "critical race theory," saying all that matters is that it got him elected. Youngkin was joined by "concerned parent" Helen Stevens, who ran down a list of books that should never be allowed in school classrooms.
"I'm so grateful to parents like Helen who helped me win in Virginia without the help of Donald Trump," Youngkin said, poking fun at the GOP candidate's efforts to distance himself from the former president during the campaign.
"Funny you should mention him, because he's been watching and he just asked to join us," said host Jeanine Pirro, played by Cecily Strong.
"I just wanted to congratulate Glenn Youngkin and mostly myself on our tremendous victory in Virginia. You know what, Glenn, we did it together," Trump said.
"You don't have to say that," Youngkin responded.
"You can take me off the split screen," he added.
Johnson's Trump then proceeded to do a series of "rundowns" about random topics as Youngkin squirmed.
"Glenn, you're like my son," Trump said at one point.
"Please don't say that," Youngkin responded.
