Donald Trump melted down after Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis took the witness stand in a hearing to determine whether she would remain on the election interference case.
The district attorney defiantly faced down questions from Trump's lawyers about her relationship with special investigator Nathan Wade and their payments for travel and meals together, and the former president reacted to her fiery cross-examination testimony with a late-night Truth Social post claiming vindication.
"They’re talking about the Georgia 'Fani Scandal' all over the World," Trump posted shortly after midnight. "In fact, by far, it is trending #1. I can’t believe the Georgia State Judiciary, or the Governor, can be happy about this humiliating embarrassment. It was a FAKE CASE from the start, and now everybody sees it for what it is, a MAJOR LEAGUE SCANDAL!"

One of Trump's co-defendants, Michael Roman, first revealed the relationship between Willis and Wade in a court filing seeking their disqualification from the case, which has resulted in guilty pleas by three of the ex-president's lawyers and a Georgia GOP official.
"The legal pundits, experts, and scholars are all screaming that this Witch Hunt, which has hurt so many fine people and patriots, should be immediately terminated and permanently erased from everyone’s memory," Trump posted. "The stench of what has happened should shame Georgia no longer. It should get back to GREATNESS, and FAST!!!"
The hearing will resume Friday and is expected to last all day, with more testimony possible on Monday.
