Jenna Ellis has reached a plea agreement with prosecutors in the conspiracy to overturn Donald Trump's election loss in Georgia.
The former Trump campaign lawyer intends to plead guilty Tuesday to one count of aiding and abetting false statements, according to court documents obtained by WSB-TV.
Ellis will become the third attorney associated with the former president to plead guilty in the sprawling racketeering case in Fulton County, where Trump and 18 others were indicted for their roles in attempting to invalidate the state's 2020 election results.
POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?
Pro-Trump attorneys Sidney Powell and Kenneth Chesebro pleaded guilty last week ahead of their trial and each recorded lengthy videos describing their roles and the actions of others who took part in the scheme.
Ellis worked closely with Rudy Giuliani in Georgia and other battleground states, where prosecutors say she pushed legislators to reject the popular vote results and send slates of pro-Trump electors instead, and she also wrote memos for Trump laying out an argument for Vice President Mike Pence to overturn the presidential election results on Jan. 6, 2021.
