Another Republican lawmaker announced Wednesday that he has received threatening messages after voting no on Jim Jordan for House speaker.

Earlier in the day, Rep. Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R-IA) reported that she has received "credible death threats" following her vote against Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) for Speaker of the House, and law enforcement is investigating the matter, according to numerous reports. Miller-Meeks, who didn't reveal the specifics of the death threats, is one of a small group of Republicans who initially voted for Jordan but ultimately changed their vote to a no in a later round.

On Wednesday, after Miller-Meeks disclosed one of her death threats, another GOP lawmaker joined in the disclosure.

POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?

Nick LaLota, who previously said that the was time for Rep. George Santos (R-NY) to leave Congress amid a nonstop stream of scandals, posted the threatening message on social media.

"My vote card belongs to me and the people of NY’s First Congressional District," he wrote on Wednesday. "I will not succumb to threats."

LaLota then added the following note:

"Rather, I’ll support a Speaker candidate who will fund the WTC Health Fund, Nat’l Flood Insurance and SALT, while keeping the gov’t open + secure border & cut spending."

LaLota included a screenshot of the threatening comment, which says in part, "If i see your face, I will whip all the hair out of your f--cking head."
