QAnon congresswoman declares LGBTQ rainbow flag a 'hate' symbol -- and wants it banned at embassies

QAnon-supporting Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) this week declared that the LGBTQ rainbow flag is a "hate" symbol that she wants to see banned from being flown at American embassies.

Shortly after being confirmed by the United States Senate last month, Secretary of State Tony Blinken rescinded a Trump administration order that barred embassies from flying the rainbow flag in solidarity with the LGBTQ community.

Marjorie Taylor Greene in 2019: Protesters should 'flood the Capitol'

In a video posted to social media months before announcing her congressional candidacy, Georgia Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene called on supporters to "flood the Capitol Building" in a protest against "tyrannical" leaders, telling them that Democratic lawmakers "should fear us" and that "we should feel like we will" use violence "if we have to."

"All of us together, when we rise up, we can end all of this. We can end it," Greene said in the 90-minute rant, which was posted in February 2019 and unearthed on Sunday by Twitter user @zedster. "We can do it peacefully. We can. I hope we don't have to do it the other way. I hope not. But we should feel like we will if we have to. Because we are the American people."

Republican leader won't say if Liz Cheney will face more punishment than Marjorie Taylor Greene

House Minority Whip Steve Scalise (R-LA) on Tuesday refused to say whether Republicans are more likely to punish Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) or Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) by stripping them of committee assignments or other leadership positions.

During an interview on Fox News, host Dana Perino pointed out that both women are facing criticism for different reasons. Greene has a history of repeating outrageous conspiracy theories and embracing violent rhetoric, while Cheney angered Republicans by voting for the impeachment of former President Donald Trump.

The truth about Russia's role in pushing the QAnon canon of conspiracies

The cult of QAnon is at a crossroads. Adherents of the conspiracy theory/new religious movement convinced themselves that Donald Trump was poised to purge the cannibal pedophile cabal and its traitorous enablers in a cleansing burst of political violence. But with Joe Biden in the White House, and Capitol rioters facing charges for their insurrection of January 6, prophecy has apparently failed. QAnon has been banished from major social media platforms. You can't even sell Q merch on Etsy anymore. True believers are struggling to make sense of it all. Q himself has fallen silent. It has been over a month since his last dispatch to the faithful.

In just three years, QAnon has exploded from an anonymous post on 4chan to a household word. The FBI has declared QAnon a domestic terrorist threat and the QAnon ideology has been the impetus for numerous terrorist attacks, not even counting the major role played by QAnon adherents in the assault on the US Capitol. QAnon has fractured families and destroyed lives. Astonishingly, we still don't know who Q is.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is dangerously kooky -- and apparently, that’s just what her voters want

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene is one of the most dangerous people in Washington. But we might as well get used to her because she isn’t going anywhere soon. An overwhelming number of Georgia voters sent this gun-toting, QAnon enthusiast to Washington in November, and she’s doing exactly what they elected her to do. Every day, we learn something new about Greene, each report more contemptible than the last. In a newly discovered YouTube video from 2018, Greene suggested that the Clintons murdered John F. Kennedy Jr., who died in a 1999 plane crash, because he might challenge Hillary Clinton for a...

Mitch McConnell goes off on Marjorie Taylor Greene's 'loony lies and conspiracy theories'

Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell issued a rare scathing attack on a fellow congressional Republican today, deriding Marjorie Taylor Greene's promotion of conspiracy theories a "cancer" on the party Monday in a statement given to The Hill.

McConnell didn't mention Greene by name, who has been under intense scrutiny after a renewed focus on her delusional, dangerous and bigoted beliefs, but his remarks left no doubt who he was talking about: "Somebody who's suggested that perhaps no airplane hit the Pentagon on 9/11, that horrifying school shootings were pre-staged, and that the Clintons crashed JFK Jr.'s airplane is not living in reality," the statement said. "This has nothing to do with the challenges facing American families or the robust debates on substance that can strengthen our party."

House panel will debate censure of Marjorie Taylor Greene

The House will debate the censure of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) after she was outed for her public calls for the assassination of Democrats, attacks on school shooting survivors and shooting denialism, claims of a Jewish Space Laser and implication that a plane didn't hit the Pentagon on 9/11.

The Washington Post reported Monday that the House Rules Committee will hear debate on House Resolution 72, which would remove Greene from the Education and Labor Committee. While the resolution calls for her removal "from her committee assignments in light of conduct she has exhibited," the Post says that it doesn't cite examples, leaving plenty of opportunities for House Democrats to discuss the growing list of posts that Greene has made promoting false conspiracy theories.
