Republicans allies of ousted House speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) are plotting their revenge against Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) and other GOP lawmakers who took him down.

Some of his allies, such as Rep. Austin Scott (R-GA), have urged leadership to strip the mutineers of their committee assignments, while others have suggested Gaetz should be exiled to a remote corner of the Pacific Ocean, reported Semafor.

“I think Matt would be a great dictator in a small island nation in the Pacific or something, that’s probably the best next step for him,” said Rep. Garret Graves (R-LA). “I do think there should be repercussions.”

Rep. Mike Lawler (R-NY), who has been outspoken in his disdain for Gaetz and other members of the GOP's "clown show" caucus, told reporters the Florida Republican should be expelled from the Republican conference for "disgraceful" conduct.

POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?

GOP senators have pledged to end the political aspirations of the eight Republicans who voted to oust McCarthy.

“If [Rep.] Matt Rosendale (R-MT) tries to get in that [Senate primary], I’ll be doing everything to defeat him,” said Sen. Markwayne Mullin (R-OK).
