Michael Cohen is expected to settle his lawsuit against the Trump Organization over more than $1 million in unpaid legal fees.

Two sources with knowledge of the situation told the New York Times the former Trump attorney has agreed to a settlement that would likely be announced Friday morning at a court hearing.

Jury selection for the trial started earlier this week and opening arguments were scheduled for Monday.

Terms of the deal, which still haven't been finalized, will be confidential, the report said.

Cohen argued in his suit that the Trump Organization had agreed orally and in writing to pay any attorney fees he incurred while testifying in multiple congressional hearings and investigations in 2017 and 2018, but he said the company stopped paying after he agreed to cooperate with investigators.

The former attorney pleaded guilty nearly five years ago to multiple crimes, some of them related to Trump's alleged hush-money payment to porn actress Stormy Daniels, and he testified against his longtime employer. He has since become an outspoken critic of the former president.

Trump was indicted earlier this year on business fraud charges in connection with the payment to Daniels.
