Former President Donald Trump literally phoned in his victory speech after winning the Michigan primary, then took to Truth Social to complain his more-than-$450 million fraud judgment has companies fleeing New York like wounded birds.
Which companies, or how exactly wounded birds flee, remains unclear.
"Legal Scholars are having a field day discussing how disgusting the whole Rigged New York State Legal System has become," Trump claimed about 11:15 p.m.. "People and companies are fleeing, just like hunted and wounded birds from on high."
His 88-word social media screed arrived a few short hours after Trump phoned in his 326-word victory speech to a Michigan primary watch party, as transcribed by local news reporter Jonathan Oosting.
Trump thanked the crowd, stressed the importance of a November victory, said the auto working business was being destroyed by electric cars and Chinese manufacturing, and repeated twice that his numbers were higher than anticipated.
"I'm so proud of the results because they're far greater than anticipated," Trump said. "So thank you all very much, and l'lI be seeing you over the next period of nine months and long beyond that."
Then Trump hung up.
"Trump and his aides are likely to use the Michigan results to put more pressure on Haley to exit the race," USA Day reports. "But don't bet on that happening anytime soon."
