Far-right MAGA-supporting pastor Greg Locke is trying to deny a controversial remark he made over the weekend, suggesting that people in wheelchairs are disabled because of insufficient faith in God.

"Churches in the American culture — you know one of the largest expenses we have in buildings?" said Locke, who runs the Global Vision Bible megachurch in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. "The amount of handicap parking and handicap accessibility that we have in our churches. Now I'm gonna make you mad for a minute and I don't really care. Why is it you pull up to a church that says they operate in faith, and you have fifty handicapped parking spots?"

Some deep-pocketed Republican donors may need convincing to prevent them from being conservative with their pocketbooks. Donors are already casting House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan (R-OH) as far-right and therefore a hard sell should he win his bid for the Speaker of the House.

“We’re gonna have to pitch to major donors why we’re worth investing in,” a GOP operative told CNN.

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and his supporters are trying to "bully" holdout Republicans into backing his candidacy for Speaker of the House, warned conservative columnist Matt Lewis in The Daily Beast — and there's a chance it could work.

This comes amid reports from as recently as this weekend that roughly 20 Republican lawmakers were unwilling to back the House Judiciary Chairman and top Freedom Caucus member, to lead the House, a number that is dwindling as key McCarthy allies and Jordan skeptics like Rep. Mike Rogers (R-AL) have committed to backing him.

"The Daily Show" is back after the long writers' strike and that means comedian Jordan Klepper is back to chatting with Donald Trump's supporters at rallies.

Klepper, who poses as a fake reporter, has spent a great deal of time on the trail with Trump supporters; many of his most notable clips are available on YouTube. Most recently, at an event in New Hampshire event, Klepper stumped one Trump supporter sporting the ex-president's mugshot t-shirt that read "Never surrender."

Judge Aileen Cannon is being blamed for the recent implosion of a hearing for Donald Trump's bodyman, Walt Nauta.

Nauta served as the personal aide of Trump's, catering to his needs and demands. That appeared to extend to classified documents, the court filing from special counsel Jack Smith said in the indictment documents. Nauta's hearing ended abruptly when Assistant Special Counsel David Harbach raised issues that weren't in the government's briefs. Nauta's lawyer explained he hadn't been able to discuss the matter with his client, wrote Lawfare's Roger Parloff.

Donald Trump Jr. hailed the value of AR-15 style rifles and 30-round magazines as ways to neutralize home intruders riding "motorized paragliders" from Hamas.

In the wake of the attack in Israel by the terrorist group Hamas, the right wing has stepped up its sales of guns like the AR-15. Pro-Palistinian activists have posted memes using a paraglider with the Palestinian flag. It appears Trump Jr. is using that image to gin up fear to sell guns.

House Judiciary Chair Jim Jordan (R-OH) is working to consolidate the votes to be elected Speaker of the House, with at least some of the roughly 20 holdouts who were refusing to vote for him now committing to back him on the House floor.

But he is now coming under scrutiny for his actual record, with Aaron Blake of The Washington Post outlining his thin list of tangible accomplishments since being elected to Congress.

Former Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) doesn't expect Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) to last long if he's voted into the House Speaker's position this week.

In a panel discussion with The Bulwark's Charlie Sykes and MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace, McCaskill explained that there were two main Republican officials who were withholding support of Jordan until he agreed to funding for Israel and Ukraine. Jordan made the deal.

Mark Hawthorn, the chief accounting officer of the Trump Hotels division of the Trump Organization, testified at former President Donald Trump's civil fraud trial in New York that he "overstated" the value of the company's assets in 2018, reported ABC News on Monday.

According to the report, when a third-party accounting agency asked for the total amount of Trump's liquid assets, "Hawthorn said he consulted the financial statement that listed 'cash equivalents in excess of $290 million.'" But New York Attorney General Letitia James alleges that 30 percent of those liquid assets were actually owned by Vornado Partnerships, a company with whom Trump had a partnership interest but was distinct from the Trump Organization, which was not disclosed on the statement.
