Jimmy Kimmel explains how Trump still fails up against Obama

Another holiday has come and gone in which Donald Trump failed to issue a professional message that conveys the right emotion for the moment, according to ABC's Jimmy Kimmel.

Taking to Twitter on Easter, former President Barack Obama posted a message saying, "I want to wish all who celebrate a happy and blessed Easter. With everything going on in the world right now, it's a chance to hug our loved ones tight and give thanks for new beginnings and the blessings we all enjoy."

Some Republicans are begging Trump to stay out of their primaries: report

One of the biggest problems that Republicans faced in 2022 is that the majority of Americans didn't want to vote for them. They lost all but one U.S. Senate seat they were hoping to hold onto and failed to take back others. The so-called "red wave" they were bragging would happen failed.

The Washington Examiner reported Monday that the GOP is begging Donald Trump to keep out of the 2024 race.

Drug companies complaining about judge’s abortion pill ruling gave money to Republicans who nominated him

The New York Times reported on Monday that over 250 drug companies are coming out against the ruling by District Judge Matthew J. Kacsmaryk, halting the Food and Drug Administration’s 23-year-old approval of the abortion pill mifepristone. But those same drug companies were supporting the Republicans that ushered the judge onto the bench.

When Kacsmaryk was brought before the Senate Judiciary Committee in 2017, it was after the 2016 election cycle, where the majority of the money from pharmaceutical companies went to Republicans.

John Oliver challenges 'definitely lying' Tennessee Republican who claimed he doesn't see race

Comedian John Oliver addressed the shocking actions in Tennessee last week, in which three lawmakers experienced expulsion votes because they spoke up to the gallery full of gun safety protesters that were demanding action after the mass shooting in the state.

He opened with a video of state Rep. William Lamberth, a Republican, who told a group of students to their faces that he didn't care about their desperate need not to be shot in school and instead asked them what gun they would be open to being shot with. Gun safety advocates have argued that the AR-15, the gun of choice of many mass shooters, generally doesn't leave many survivors because its bullets explode once they hit.

Ex-prosecutor blames 'politics' and hating Black Lives Matter as an excuse for Greg Abbott pardoning killer

When a member of the Charlottesville "Unite the Right" rally rammed his car into a crowd of people, killing one young woman, the man was charged with murder and a slate of other crimes and marched off to prison. When an active-duty Army sergeant working as a ride-share driver, opened fire into a crowd of Black Lives Matter protesters in 2020 and a jury sent him to jail, the Texas governor came rushing to his side.

Gov. Greg Abbott now claims that the state's "Stand Your Ground" law protected Perry because people surrounded his car. Perry, who was a whopping 70 miles from his base, actually turned his car into the crowd of people, forcing them to surround his car because he was pushing through them with the car.

If George Soros had a houseful of Nazi memorabilia would Fox give him a pass?: Mehdi Hasan asks

The "friend" of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, who has been paying for the Thomas couple to go on lavish trips around the world on his pal's private jet and personal yacht, is also known for collecting Nazi memorabilia. While Republicans have excused it away as ensuring the horrors of history are remembered, the reality is a little more disturbing.

GOP donor Harlan Crow has a yard full of statues of dictators on display. He has a signed portrait of Adolf Hitler and an autographed copy of Hitler's book Mein Kampf. One houseguest found some of Hitler's linens and place settings hidden away in an upstairs cabinet, hidden away from the public.
