Pro-capitalism economist warns it's gone too far due to corporate 'greedflation'

While the world was continuing its shock over the indictment of a former American president, a pro-capitalism conservative economist was warning that corporate greed has gone too far.

Fortune reported this week that Albert Edwards, a global strategist at the 159-year-old bank Société Générale, issued a blistering memo coining the practice Greedflation.

Watch: Expelled Tennessee Rep. Justin Pearson delivers epic sermon to Memphis church

Rep. Justin Pearson was one of the "Tennessee Three" that Republicans sought to expel from the state Assembly last week. Ultimately, it was just Reps. Pearson and Justin Jones that were expelled. Rep. Gloria Johnson was saved by a single vote, leading her to say that it was likely due to the color of her skin being different than that of her two colleagues. Jones and Pearson are both Black while Johnson is White.

Pearson was invited to be a guest pastor at Easter Sunday services for Church of the River, where he preached on the downfall of American democracy.

'No victims': U of Oklahoma sends students fleeing after report of a possible shooter

"Run. Hide. Fight." The University of Oklahoma sent out a massive alert telling its student body to run for their lives tonight.

Friday evening in Norman, Oklahoma, there was a possible active shooter situation reported at the main OU campus at the Van Vleet Oval, local KOCO reported. As of 10:45 p.m. CDT there were reports of "no victims," according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The scene at the South Oval was filled with police cars, video from the scene showed.

Video of Clarence Thomas bragging he loves traveling to RV parks does not age well following blockbuster report

Justice Clarence Thomas said he loves traveling through good old-fashioned RV parks. He loves a good Walmart parking lot. It isn't that he doesn't enjoy Europe, it's that he really just loves America. At least, that's what the Supreme Court Justice said in a video surfaced Thursday by MSNBC's Joy Reid.

"I prefer the United States and I prefer seeing a regular part of the United States. I prefer going across the rural areas. I prefer the RV parks, I prefer the Walmart parking lots to the beaches, and things like that," Thomas says in the video. "There is something normal tell me about it. I come from a regular stock and I prefer that. I prefer being around that."

DOJ wants 27 months in jail for Capitol Police officer who helped attacker on Jan. 6

In his selectively edited version of Jan. 6, Fox host Tucker Carlson complained that there were a number of Capitol Police officers that appeared to be escorting insurrectionists around the Capitol. He demanded to know why those officers weren't being held accountable while the insurrectionists were.

One of those officers is now facing a hard time. The Justice Department, in a filing Thursday, requested that former Capitol Police Officer Michael Riley serve 27 months in prison for the aid he gave to those Capitol attackers on Jan. 6, 2021.
