The "Rust" movie armorer who loaded a gun for Alec Baldwin before the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins has been found guilty of involuntary manslaughter, according to new reports.

Hannah Gutierrez Reed was found guilty in a New Mexico criminal court about three years after a fatal on-set shooting involving a prop gun and a live round of ammunition in 2021, the New York Times reports.

"Ms. Gutierrez-Reed’s trial...focused on the fact that Ms. Gutierrez-Reed was supposed to load Mr. Baldwin’s revolver that day with dummy rounds, inert cartridges that are meant to resemble real bullets on camera but which cannot be fired," the Times reports.

"But one round turned out to be live."

Reed was acquitted of evidence tampering charges linked to accusations that she'd passed a small bag of cocaine to a crew member, the report notes.

The accident on the set of the Western film production, which shocked the nation, has gone through a bumpy investigation and prosecution.

Initially, Baldwin himself was charged by New Mexico prosecutors with involuntary manslaughter, only for those charges to be dropped last April. However, he was charged again in January.

For his part, Baldwin pleaded not guilty, insisting that he never pulled the trigger, only the hammer.

"Halyna and I had something profound in common," Baldwin told George Stephanopoulos in 2021. "We both assumed the gun was empty ... other than those dummy rounds."
