A new digital ad is testing out an attack line for Donald Trump's presidential campaign targeting the courts and law enforcement officials involved in his criminal trials.
The 60-second ad from the Article III Project accuses “activist” judges and prosecutors of abusing their power and weaponizing the criminal justice system against Trump, who has been indicted in four jurisdictions on 91 charges and found liable for fraud and sexual abuse in two separate cases, reported NBC News.
“Activist prosecutors and judges have destroyed the rule of law, the scales of justice forever broken and imbalanced," the ad's narrator says. "The worst offenders? Those who have weaponized the legal system for political gain against President Trump.”

The video ad touches on criminal cases against Trump in Florida, Georgia, New York and Washington, D.C., and singles out Fulton County district attorney Fani Willis for "using a witch hunt" to force the former president to sit for a mugshot, and it accuses Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg of allowing his city to “fall to pieces" and claims Judge Arthur Engoron “laughed and smirked” as he presided over a fraud trial.
“Even now, they’re resorting to insane legal theories to take him off the ballot,” the ad says. “They’ve gone after a president of the United States. Do you think they’ll stop there?”
The Article III Project, which is led by former Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) staffer Mike Davis, was founded to promote conservative judicial nominations but has pivoted to attacking Democrats since President Joe Biden's election.
