Internet users sounded off on President Donald Trump after he claimed China has “violated its agreement” with the United States.
“Two weeks ago China was in grave economic danger! The very high Tariffs I set made it virtually impossible for China to TRADE into the United States marketplace which is, by far, number one in the World,” Trump wrote on Truth Social on Friday.
“We went, in effect, COLD TURKEY with China, and it was devastating for them. Many factories closed and there was, to put it mildly, ‘civil unrest,’” Trump claimed. “I saw what was happening and didn’t like it, for them, not for us. I made a FAST DEAL with China in order to save them from what I thought was going to be a very bad situation, and I didn’t want to see that happen.”

He added, “Because of this deal, everything quickly stabilized and China got back to business as usual. Everybody was happy! That is the good news!!! The bad news is that China, perhaps not surprisingly to some, HAS TOTALLY VIOLATED ITS AGREEMENT WITH US. So much for being Mr. NICE GUY!”
Brian Krassenstein lambasted Trump calling himself Mr. Nice Guy, saying, "BREAKING: No more Mr. TACO Guy! Trump claims he signed the trade deal with China (which wasn't even a deal) to help China. Then he claims that China is violating the agreement. Looks like American businesses have even more uncertainty now. I want normalcy back.”
Spencer Hakimian said, "China violated a deal that does not exist?” The post ended with emojis, one pointing and a clown. Presumably pointing to Donald Trump as a clown.
Writer of the Capitalist-Letters newsletter Oguz also poked fun at Trump’s attempt to not TACO.

I voted to OBLITERATE China’s economy and make them pay for their EXTREMELY UNETHICAL AND ILLEGAL economic behavior. I’m disappointed in Trump’s handling so far. We need someone like Putin that will not cave."
