Donald Trump plans to attend Thursday a hearing on allegations that Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis had a relationship with a special prosecutor that determined his hiring in the former president’s Georgia election racketeering case.

Two sources told the Washington Post that Trump might ditch a scheduled appearance in his New York City hush money case and travel to Atlanta instead, where he would sit in the audience.

It would be Trump’s first appearance since he was indicted in August on charges that he criminally tried to overturn Georgia’s 2020 election, the Post notes.

A Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, which oversees courthouse security, told the Post she was not unaware of Trump’s reported plans.

The hearing will take place after Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee ruled Monday that disqualifying Willis was a possibility.

“If Trump attends Thursday’s hearing, he would be able to watch as Willis’s personal life and professional integrity are scrutinized and questioned,” the Washington Post report reads.

“His appearance would likely draw even more attention and perhaps chaos to the already highly anticipated hearing.”
