Taking time out from attacking Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis and demanding he be given full immunity for any crimes he committed when he was president, Donald Trump paid tribute to a former administration official who was killed during a Washington D.C. car-jacking this past week.

Then he called for a federal takeover of the district that is home to the U.S. government.

Taking to his Truth Social platform, Trump noted the passing of Mike Gill, who served on the Commodity Futures Trading Commission during his administration.

Gill was shot and killed during a carjacking on Monday and died later in the week according to multiple sources.

Linking to a Daily Mail article on Gill's tragic death the former president wrote, "Wonderful and brilliant Mike Gill, a highly respected member of the Trump Administration, was ruthlessly and viciously shot in the head during a carjacking in Washington, D.C. He was a SPECIAL PERSON - His family and friends are devastated."
