According to a report from the Tampa Bay Times, a Florida anesthesiologist employed by the Mount Sinai Medical Center was taken into custody over an assault on a Hispanic man in a grocery store parking lot, yelling racist insults at him and then reportedly punching him before fleeing.
Jennifer Susan Wright, 58, of Miami Springs, was charged with criminal mischief and battery with prejudice --later changed to a hate crime -- after being arrested and booked in Miami-Dade County.
According to the report the incident followed an encounter inside a Hialeah Publix store after the unidentified man asked her to social distance while standing in line.
It then spilled into the parking lot where Wright confronted the man at close distance and told him "We should have gotten rid of you when we could. This is not going to be Biden's America, this is my America."
According to the police report, Wright proceeded "to stab the victim's vehicle with her keys while saying he needed to go back to his country," adding that, as he tried to call 911, she "punched him, causing him to drop the phone. As he tried to pick it up, she kicked him and tried to stomp the phone," before jumping in her car and racing off.
Wright was taken into custody on Friday, with the Times also noting her Facebook page is loaded with posts supporting Donald Trump and ranting about the "Biden Crime Family."
