A stunned nation witnessed a historic event Thursday night when a New York City jury issued a guilty verdict on criminal charges against former President Donald Trump.
Trump was found guilty on felony charges after just two days of deliberation in his trial for falsifying business records ahead of the 2016 presidential election.
George Conway had a simple, one-word response: "Justice."

Conway was one of dozens of journalists, legal experts, and spectators who lined up daily to witness Trump stand trial for his actions in the lead-up to the 2016 presidential election.
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg's case hinged on testimony from adult film star Stormy Daniels, who said she was paid $130,000 not to disclose her affair with Trump, and former fixer Michael Cohen, who testified he helped Trump funnel the cash her way.
Trump denied the affair, any collaboration with Cohen and pleaded not guilty to all charges.
The jury was not convinced.
"Never in my life did saying 'I told you so' feel so meaningful," said legal analyst Norm Eisen. "So many fights with so many people about the righteousness of this 2016 election interference prosecution... jail likely."
Body language expert Jack Brown had an equally dire prediction for the former president: "Donald Trump just lost the election," he wrote.
Justice correspondent for the Nation Elie Mystal responded to the news with a fact: "Convicted felons don’t get to vote."
National security attorney Bradley Moss was stunned that the New York City jury issued their verdict in a New York City minute: "Wow. That's fast."
Rhetorical expert Jennifer Mercieca championed the verdict as a win for the nation: "LET’S DO SOME DEMOCRACY!!!" she tweeted.
Former federal prosecutor Barbara McQuade also concurred, writing: "Justice is served."
