President Donald Trump is meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Friday to discuss whether they can agree on sharing "rare earth minerals."

According to Trump's statements to the press alongside U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer, there would be a reason to invest in Ukraine if they shared such minerals.

"I can also see the validity of [Trump's] points when he says that if there is a deal on minerals then the U.S. has economic interests in Ukraine, which, if you like, form at least one element of any security guarantee," Starmer told NBC's Lester Holt.

On Friday, as Trump met with Zelenskyy in the Oval Office, Bloomberg reporter Josh Wingrove revealed a "heated discussion."

The White House press pool was allowed to come in for a photo-op when it devolved into a shouting match.

"You're in no position to dictate what we're going to feel," Trump said. "You don't have the cards right now."

Trump ultimately yelled at Zelenskyy, "you gotta be more thankful."
