Trump snaps at 'Globalist inspired Wall Street Journal' in meltdown over bad GOP polling numbers

Former President Donald Trump kicked off his Saturday morning by snarling at the Wall Street Journal for publishing a poll that shows him beating Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) for the 2024 GOP presidential nomination but also revealed the controversial Republican governor has a better chance of taking on President Joe Biden.

According to the poll, released on Friday, "the poll finds a number of advantages for Mr. DeSantis in the contest. He carries a more positive image than Mr. Trump, with 84% viewing him favorably, compared with 78% who say so of Mr. Trump. Some 41% of GOP primary voters say Mr. DeSantis would have the better chance of beating Mr. Biden, while 31% say Mr. Trump would be the stronger candidate."

House Dem scrambles to defend 'terrible' vote he took siding with Republicans

A newly-elected Democrat has had to take to Twitter to defend his decision to vote with House Republicans on a resolution tied to changing policing laws in Washington D.C. which has put him at odds with some of his constituents.

According to a report from the Journal-Star, Rep. Eric Sorensen (D-IL) was one of 14 Democrats who joined with the Republican party majority on a resolution to block the bill. The Journal Star reports, "Republicans hope will nullify a local D.C. policing reform that would ban the use of chokeholds by police, require body camera footage to be released after violent incident and make police discipline records more publicly available."

Arizona sheriff spirals deeper into QAnon as he ramps up run for Senate seat

An Arizona sheriff who made a name for himself by refusing to enforce Covid-19 protocols is throwing his hat in the ring for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ) by moving even farther to the right and embracing QAnon conspiracy theories.

Sheriff Mark Lamb of Pinal County has been hitting the QAnon podcast shows circuit as he attempts to elevate his profile for a run at the seat that may see him running against failed Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake who is already catering to the conspiracy-minded fringe.
