Rep. Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) has had little patience for his Republican colleagues as of late.
He's attacked the GOP for the party's "crazy candidate" choices, saying it was the reason they didn't have a "red wave" in the 2022 midterms. He has bashed the MAGA loyalists in the House for forcing the 15-vote removal on former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA). He then attacked Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) for doing the work of "Democrats."
By Thursday, Crenshaw had become disgusted with his colleagues who were refusing to support Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA) for speaker of the House, despite the fact that the Louisiana Republican won a plurality of votes during a conference election earlier this week.
Seemingly annoyed by his colleagues refusing to line up behind the candidate who got the most votes, Crenshaw lashed out.
POLL: Should Trump be allowed to run for office?
“I think they should all resign their congressional seat unless they get 100% of their district to vote for them," he told CNN's Manu Raju.
It's now been more than a week since Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) was ousted as speaker and House Republicans appear no closer to coming together and finding a consensus candidate, despite the fact that top American ally Israel is now at war and despite the fact that funding for the government is due to run out in a little more than a month.
