Bill Maher roasts Paul Manafort for getting 'the white guy discount' during his sentencing
HBO "Real Time" host Bill Maher on Friday slammed Fox News, former Donald Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort and the president's speech to the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) during his opening monologue.
Maher took aim at Bill Shine, the former Fox News co-president who was recently ousted White House deputy chief of staff for communications.
"You know who else is out? Bill Shine is Trump's fifth -- he's had five communications directors," Maher noted. "This guy used to run Fox News, apparently he can't get along with Trump either."
"So Bill Shine, he is going to be moving over to Trump's campaign reelection headquarters, so he's moving to Moscow," Maher joked.
Maher also targeted Paul Manafort, who was only sentenced to 47 months in prison on Thursday.
"And, of course you heard the big news, Trump's former campaign manager Paul Manafort was sentenced to four years in jail," Maher noted.
"He got off pretty easy, the sentencing guidelines said he was supposed to get 19 to 24 years -- he got four. Otherwise known as the white guy discount," Maher continued.
"I haven't seen a Trump supporter get off that much since Robert Kraft went to that massage parlor in Florida," he continued.
Maher also drew attention to Trump's CPAC speech, which lasted over two hours.
"There were kids born at the beginning of this speech, who by the end of it were dating R. Kelly," he joked.
