'It's a lie': Sean Hannity attacks Democrats saying Republicans are 'racist, sexist misogynists, homophobic, xenophobic, islamophobic'
Fox News host Sean Hannity joined Mark Levin Sunday to lament that he's being attacked by the left, while simultaneously claiming he doesn't care.
"The most important thing to me, I don't care, not even a little bit Mark, one bit what the left thinks of me," Hannity said. "I just care about what's right."
The outside advisor to President Donald Trump touted his "passion" for the country, but when it came to his audience, he said, "at the end of the day, I'm looking at it from a practical standpoint. What works? Why does it work?"
He told Levin that he is the target of attacks because others are seeking power that belongs to right-wing leaders.
"We had the most unbelievable week where Pam Bondi is attacked. Think about this, secretary Nielsen is attacked, Sarah Huckabee is attacked. Conservatives are being thrown out of restaurants, being followed, you have high-profile Democrats suggesting that we get confronted in gas stations and restaurants, like a mob mentality has taken over," he decried.
The reason goes back to Trump's success as a president, thus, "we are in the silly season." He went on to claim that the single playbook that Democrats have are to accuse Republicans of being "racist, sexist misogynists, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic," he said. "It's a lie." Though he didn't explain how or why.
Hannity went on to parrot the talking point that special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation is a "witch-hunt" and is "imploding." He touted Trump's success "dismantling nuclear test sites" in North Korea, which has now been revealed to be questionable.
"The success of Donald Trump is a clear and present danger to the left of America," he claimed.
Ultimately, Hannity said that he is attacked by the left because he gives conservatism a voice and defends Trump. "For most of my career, I go with my heart," he said.
