'Utter hypocrisy': Republicans blame Biden for Ukraine war after letting Trump off the hook for extortion scheme

Republicans who are pressing President Joe Biden to do more to help Ukraine still have no regrets about letting Donald Trump off the hook for an extortion scheme against that same nation.

Trump held up congressionally approved military aid to Ukraine in 2019 in a scheme to get president Volodymyr Zelenskyy to announce investigations into Biden and his family, but GOP lawmakers insist their acquittal has no bearing on their current support for helping the nation fight back against Russian aggression, reported Politico.

OAN reporter suggests Biden 'cooked up' Ukraine hospital bombing to 'distract from their monumental failures'

On Thursday, The Daily Beast reported that a "foreign correspondent" for the extreme-right One America News Network (OAN) suggested that President Joe Biden staged the Russian bombing of the maternity hospital in Mariupol, Ukraine — to distract from domestic policy controversies.

"Offering absolutely no evidence or logic, Pearson Sharp said the bombing of the Mariupol hospital last week had 'the makings of another false flag operation,'" reported Rachel Olding. "Biden and his 'cronies are desperately trying to cook up more conflict to distract from their monumental failures here in America,' he said. Never mind the fact Russia claimed responsibility for the bombing, falsely justifying it by saying the building housed Ukrainian snipers."

Jen Psaki invokes Roy Moore to smack down Josh Hawley over attacks on SCOTUS nominee

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki blasted attacks from U.S. Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO) Thursday afternoon, calling into question his credibility over the fist-pumping insurrectionist poster boy’s unfair and inaccurate attacks on President Joe Biden’s Supreme Court nominee, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson.

After a reporter noted that Senator Hawley has “consistently voted against the President’s nominees,” Psaki was asked if the White House is worried the “explosiveness” of Hawley’s “line of attack” against Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson will “affect your ability to win over other Republican votes.”

Former US ambassador to Ukraine warns: Putin will only get worse if his invasion succeeds

Marie Yovanovitch was in the news a lot in 2019, when the former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine became a key witness for the Democratic prosecution in then-President Donald Trump’s first impeachment. And Yovanovitch, now 63, has been in the spotlight a lot in March 2022 — not only because of her new book “Lessons from the Edge: A Memoir,” but also, because of Russia’s horrific invasion of Ukraine. Yovanovitch had a lot to say about the Ukraine/Russia war during an interview with Politico’s Katelyn Fossett, published as a Q&A article on March 16. And she warned that if Russian President Vladimir Putin prevails in Ukraine, he will become even more dangerous.

“We can’t let Putin set the conditions for this war,” Yovanovitch, a native of Montreal, Canada, told Fossett. “Russia is the aggressor. They have invaded a peaceful nation, and that is simply wrong. And what history has shown us is that if we don’t push back, Russia will keep on going. The bottom line is if this fight is our fight.”

Retired general details all of the equipment going to Ukraine from the US

Earlier this week, Eric Trump, son to former President Donald Trump, attacked President Joe Biden for allegedly doing nothing but sending blankets to Ukraine at a time when they need help.

"By the way, my father had a great relationship with Putin," said Eric in an interview with the Fox network. "All the while, he was sending thousands of javelin missiles to Ukraine. Isn't that really amazing? I mean, Biden has no relationship with Putin and he's literally sending blankets to Ukraine."
