While some MAGA Republicans have been praising Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2022 — Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming calls them the “Putin wing of the GOP” — others have claimed that President Joe Biden is to blame for the invasion, insisting that Putin wouldn’t have dared to invade Ukraine if Donald Trump were still president. One such MAGA Republican is Eric Trump, who Vanity Fair’s Bess Levin tears apart in a scathing column published on March 15.

“Why didn’t Vladimir Putin invade Ukraine while Donald Trump was president?” Levin writes. “Setting aside the fact that the Russian president has effectively been invading Ukraine since 2014, the reason Putin didn’t wage a full-scale war against the neighboring country while Trump was in office is that, more than likely, he didn’t think the Russian military was ready. At least, that’s the assessment of former National Security Adviser John Bolton, who has actual knowledge of this stuff. But what does Eric Trump, who doesn’t know anything about anything, think? At least one White House aide secretly produced a report that blamed Donald Trump's election loss on Dominion Voting Systems.

The report, which alleged foreign entities secretly manipulated votes, was initially prepared so it could be sent to legislatures in states where Trump was trying to overturn his loss, and it was amplified in early December 2020 by the conservative Gateway Pundit blog -- but originated in the White House, reported The Guardian.

On Wednesday, The New York Times reported that the Justice Department has concluded that Hunter Biden has properly paid his tax bill — a major blow to right-wing conspiracy theorists who were hoping the president's son would be charged with a crime.

As Russia has escalated its invasion of Ukraine, President Joe Biden has walked a fine line, doing everything in his power to sanction, embargo, and punish Vladimir Putin's regime short of actually going to war, which could lead to the launch of nuclear weapons and the end of human civilization as we know it.

But former "700 Club" televangelist Pat Robertson — who has previously stated he believes the end of the world is necessary to fulfill the word of Jesus — took the exact opposite attitude on Wednesday, and criticized Biden for not being willing to launch nuclear weapons against Russia.

President Joe Biden has made it clear that the United States cannot establish a so-called "no-fly zone" to shoot down Russian aircraft in Ukraine, at least not without Russia escalating to attacks on NATO territory directly — for fear of triggering a world war.

But, reported CNN's Brian Todd on Tuesday, Ukraine may be able to create its own no-fly zone to repel the Russian invasion — thanks to powerful weaponry they are about to receive.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) on Wednesday slammed President Joe Biden for sending more military aid to Ukraine, and said that things would be better off if Ukrainians just gave up their efforts to resist the Russian invasion.

In a Facebook address to her supporters, Greene laid out the case against helping the Ukrainians with more weapons.

Regardless, some of President Vladimir Putin’s useful idiots in the United States have been apologists for the invasion, promoting a debunked Kremlin conspiracy theory which claims that bioweapons were being manufactured in Ukrainian laboratories. Putin, according to that conspiracy theory, was justified in invading Ukraine.

“Most of the conspiracy theories claim that the U.S. was developing and plotting to release a bioweapon or potentially another coronavirus from ‘biolabs’ throughout Ukraine and that Russia invaded to take over the labs,” journalists Ben Collins and Kevin Collier report in an article published by NBC News’ website on March 14. “Many of the theories implicate people who are often the targets of far-right conspiracy thinking — including Dr. Anthony Fauci and President Joe Biden — as being behind creating the weaponized diseases in the biolabs. Disinformation experts said the biolabs theory echoes other Russian propaganda meant to justify its military efforts, which often makes allegations against other countries and populations that reflect similar attacks it plans to make.”

Barely hours after detailing additional military aid for Ukraine President Joe Biden called Russian President Vladimir Putin a “war criminal.”

“I think he is a war criminal,” the American President said when asked by a reporter if he thought of Putin as a war criminal.

Vladimir Putin gives a daily address on national television and in the one he delivered Wednesday night, he made it clear that he seeks to "purify" Russia.

"I am convinced," said Putin today the west will use a "fifth column" to destroy Russia. He explained that "such a natural and necessary self-purification of society will only strengthen our country."

A California man who faces the most serious charges in relation to the Jan. 6 Capitol riot is asking a federal judge through his lawyers to move his trial outside of D.C., saying that media coverage will taint the jury, The Sacramento Bee reports.

“The government has characterized the events of January 6 – including the attempted obstruction in which the government alleges Mr. McHugh participated – as an attack on our elections, government institutions generally, and democracy as a whole, (and) suggest that those District residents closely connected to the government are more likely to view themselves as the direct victims of the events,” lawyers for Sean Michael McHugh wrote. “Second, even District residents that have no direct connection to the government reported feeling deeply traumatized by the events that took place so close to where they live and work.”

Senate minority leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) agrees that President Joe Biden's nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court is qualified, but he's already cooking up a cynical excuse to vote against her confirmation.

A resolution introduced in the Michigan House of Representatives Tuesday condemns the fake 2020 Electoral College certificates submitted by Republicans and calls upon state and federal officials to prosecute the phony electors.

House Resolution 252, introduced by State Rep. Joe Tate (D-Detroit), aims to “condemn the actions of illegitimate presidential electors” and urge attorneys general in Michigan, Arizona, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Nevada, New Mexico and Wisconsin, as well as the Department of Justice “to prosecute these fake electors for their misdeeds to the fullest extent of the law.”
