Trump-loving right-wing activist Laura Loomer has managed to ingratiate herself with the former president, despite the fact that even hardcore Trump loyalists such as Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) view her as "mentally unstable."
NBC News reports that some Trump allies are concerned about his embrace of Loomer, a failed congressional candidate who, like Trump, refused to concede her race despite clearly losing.
However, they have been unsuccessful in convincing him to distance himself from her.
"Everyone who works for him thinks she’s a liability," claimed one Trump ally.
Nonetheless, Loomer has earned Trump's adoration for her willingness to film herself confronting his Republican rivals, such as when she posted a video of herself demanding that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis drop out of the presidential race.

NBC notes that this prompted DeSantis-backing conservative attorney Will Chamberlain to label her a "stalker."
Another Trump ally, while pointing to Loomer's willingness to wage full warfare against even his own allies and campaign officials, fretted that her toxic personality would become impossible to contain.
"I don’t know who she gets along with really — she’s so fringe,” the source told NBC News. “You could label her total fringe of the MAGA. This is so bad for Trump to be around her. This is not a good look."
