Father John Huber told MSNBC's Joy Reid that his son, Anthony Huber, was a pacifist who stepped up to try and stop an active shooter during last summer's demonstrations in Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Capitol Police expect to hit 9,000 total threats after Jan. 6 — local threats are just as bad: report

The Capitol Police are still understaffed, but they're being inundated with more threats after the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol. According to documents requested by NBC News, the police unity will likely reach 9,000 total threats in 2021.

To put that in context, there were 8,600 threats in 2020, and in Donald Trump's first year in office, 2017, the Capitol police charted and investigated only 3,900 threats.

On one of the busiest travel days of the year with Thanksgiving approaching, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) spent her Sunday morning tweet-storming at her followers that a Democratic-led "race war" is coming and conservatives need to hang onto their guns and "Protect yourself with the full armor of God."

According to the Republican lawmaker, "The radical Marxists in this country" by which she means Democrats, are coming for everyone's guns following the Kyle Rittenhouse acquittal with Taylor Greene adding, "They will stay on their lying message constantly about 'angry white men are a threat to black lives.'"

'Be armed! Be dangerous!' Republicans celebrate Kyle Rittenhouse verdict

Friday's acquittal of Kyle Rittenhouse, the teenager who traveled to a Black Lives Matter protest in Kenosha, Wisconsin in August of 2020 and fatally shot two men, was met with jubilation on the right.

A jury found Rittenhouse not guilty on the homicide charges for the killings of Joseph Rosenbaum and Anthony Huber, and not guilty of attempted first-degree intentional homicide in the wounding of Gaige Grosskreutz. Republicans celebrated online.
