Jan. 6 rally organizer Ali Alexander takes over Kanye West's political campaign

Kanye West had a huge falling out with far-right advocate Milo Yiannopoulos, who had joined with other fringe leaders in pushing the rapper further into politics after losing much of his business to advocating a Nazi ideology.

In a video interviewing West, Proud Boys founder Gavin McInnes revealed that after the breakup, West had hired Jan. 6 organizer Ali Alexander to lead the political operation.

Maddow: Right-wing extremists have a history of attacking power substations

Almost ten years ago, in 2013, at least two people in California lifted a heavy manhole cover to climb down into an underground vault on the side of the road. They cut fiber-optic cables that severed 911 emergency call lines, landlines and cell phone towers. Not long after, someone opened fire on a power substation hitting key pieces of the infrastructure that caused not only power transformers to go down, but others to overheat and melt down.

Even after ten years, no one knows who did it and the police have no suspects. What they discovered, according to MSNBC's Rachel Maddow who detailed the report on Monday, is that someone had placed a rock at the area where someone should shoot to administer the maximum amount of damage.

'Lost my temper': Elderly Florida man settles laundry room dispute by killing the HOA president and her husband

Henry Wallace was shot and killed over the weekend after an elderly neighbor was enraged over Wallace leaving the door open to the shared laundry room. While standing at his mailbox, Hugh Hootman demanded Wallace apologize, said WPBF News.

According to what Hootman told the police, it was only when Wallace tried to push past Hootman that he said, "I lost my temper," pulled out a gun, and shot him several times.

An Oklahoma corrections officer is headed to prison after he was caught using white supremacist gangs to go after Black inmates in his own personal hit squad.

The Justice Department reported on Monday afternoon that Matthew Ware of the Kay County Detention Center (KCDC) was sentenced to 46 months, nearly four years, in prison. It's unclear if the prison will be the one where he worked, however.

Former Republican Congressman David Rivera has finally been indicted over a probe into his $50 million contract with Venezuela's socialist government, a spokesperson in the U.S. Attorney's Office in Miami said in a statement.

According to NBC Miami, the former lawmaker was officially arrested in connection to the ongoing federal criminal investigation while in the Atlanta, Georgia airport. The indictment was handed down by the grand jury last month, said spokesperson Marlene Rodriguez. He paid bail on Monday afternoon after being processed.

Anti-Trump lawyer Michael Avenatti gets 14 years in prison

Michael Avenatti, who previously served as the lawyer for adult film star Stormy Daniels, was sentenced to 14 years in prison on Monday after pleading guilty to embezzling millions from four clients. He was also charged with an obstruction count, ABC News reported.

Avenatti pleaded guilty earlier in 2022 to four counts of wire fraud. According to the case prosecutors brought, Avenatti obstructed the IRS’ effort to collect $5 million in payroll taxes from a company called Tully’s Coffee, which Avenatti represented and brought back to life in 2013, reported Restaurant Business Online.
