Many prisons had a difficult time keeping people safe during the COVID-19 crisis, but one Alabama jail kept a young woman in jail to protect her fetus.

Hillary Clinton walks through how top secret docs were delivered in a locked briefcase: 'How did he get them?'

As a former Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton said she can't understand how top secret documents were even allowed outside of the eyes of those who manage them, much less to Mar-a-Lago.

Speaking to the hosts of "The View," Clinton said that it should be taken very seriously but she wasn't rushing to judgment unfairly because people rushed to judge her unfairly.

The Senate is back and they've got a lot of questions about Trump's documents and national security

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Senate returned to Washington, D.C., this week after the August Recess and they've got a lot of questions they want answers to about the former president's alleged retention of classified documents, particularly those that could endanger national security.

Speaking to reporters Tuesday night, Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA) reinforced his concerns about the damage that has been done and ensuring that the military and intelligence community can meet with officials to give details about it. When asked if he wanted to see the documents, Warner said that he was less concerned about seeing them than he was about their impact on national security.

Former FBI official believes Trump judge could try and get all of the agents thrown off the case

One of the hitches to Donald Trump's attempts to delay any investigation into the stolen documents taken at Mar-a-Lago is that prior to the Aug. 2022 search, he handed over a ton of documents both classified and not to members of the National Archives and to the FBI.

So, Judge Aileen Cannon's ruling over the special master and the injunction only applies to the information seized at Mar-a-Lago by the FBI. All other information gathered and any communications between the Archives and Trump's representatives is fair game for the Justice Department to investigate outside of Cannon.

How long could the special master delay the Trump documents case?

There are a few options when it comes to determining how long it will take for Donald Trump's document scandal to move forward.

Vox warned that it could ultimately take years, pointing out that if the Justice Department files an appeal of Judge Aileen Cannon's ruling that it would take months to work its way through the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals. Chances are that regardless of what is decided at 11th Circuit, it would get appealed to the Supreme Court. If the 11th Circuit decides against Trump, he would demand his appointed judges help him.

Republicans privately say they wish Trump would shut up and stop trying to be a martyr: reporter

Washington Post reporter Carol Leonnig revealed that Republicans are trying as best they can to hold onto elections that were once thought to be a walk in the park.

"What I hear privately from Republicans is they wish Donald Trump would be quiet," Leonnig said in a discussion with MSNBC. "People who are running for office -- that this may be popular for him playing the martyr violin. You know, 'They came for me, and next they'll come for you. We have to stop them.' It's kind of impossible for Republicans on the campaign trail to really make a lot of hay out of this for their own benefit."

Ex-federal prosecutor thinks the Justice Department might be looking into a Georgia voting machine conspiracy

Former federal prosecutor Barbara McQuade thinks that the Justice Department is looking into whether there was a coordinated conspiracy to access electronic voting machines after the 2020 election.

Video footage was released Tuesday showing that operatives of Donald Trump were able to enter a secure Georgia location thanks to a fake elector and GOP chairwoman. The operatives have said that they gained access to at least one electronic voting machine and did so because Trump lawyer Sidney Powell asked them to do it.

'Numerous grounds' for DOJ to contest Judge Cannon’s ruling: Legal experts break down what’s next

Lawfare legal experts came together Tuesday to discuss the ruling published by Judge Aileen Cannon appointing a special master to review the documents taken by the FBI to ensure there's no privileged information taken.

The Justice Department told the judge that they'd already gone through the information, sifting out thousands of documents and information that wasn't related to their investigation into Donald Trump stealing government documents. It isn't likely to take long. But what is concerning among legal scholars is the caselaw created by Judge Cannon that they don't think should be on the books.

Harassment website's owner admits it's dead — days after blistering exposé that got it deplatformed

On Monday, Canadian transgender internet activist Clara Sorrenti, better known as Keffals, announced that the harassment hub website Kiwi Farms is officially dead.

"After the announcement that Cloudflare would drop Kiwi Farms as a customer, the site came online again with a Russian domain and switched to DDoS-Guard," wrote Keffals. "Less than 24 hours later, DDoS-Guard, a Russian company that specializes in DDoS protection, has also dropped Kiwi Farms. Their Russian domain is now offline, and [founder] Joshua Moon has stated, "I do not see a situation where Kiwi Farms is simply allowed to operate. It will either become a fractured shell of itself like 8chan, or jump between hosts and domains like Daily Stormer."
