Florida county Republican Party mulls barring FBI agents and labeling World Health Organization 'terrorists'

White House: Invite for queen's funeral was for Bidens only

ABOARD AIR FORCE ONE (Reuters) - The royal invitation sent to the White House to attend Queen Elizabeth's funeral was for President Joe Biden and first lady Jill Biden only, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters on Monday.

Her statement suggested Biden would not be assembling a U.S. delegation to attend the Sept. 19 funeral in London. He is to depart for London on Saturday.

Trump and Melania may be left out in the cold with no invites to queen's funeral: report

With CNN reporting that President Joe Biden will not be leading a delegation of American dignitaries to England to attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey on Sep. 19 -- but he and First Lady Jill Biden have been asked to attend -- Newsweek is adding that Donald Trump and his wife Melania have, so far, not been invited.

The report notes that the president and his wife received separate and "individual" invites from the royal family, which put to rest the suggestions that Biden will bring along former Presidents Jimmy Carter, George W. Bush, Barack Obama and Trump along with their wives.

A new book from New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman claims that former President Donald Trump planned to blockade himself in the White House and refuse to leave despite his loss to President Joe Biden in the 2020 election.

CNN reports that White House aides told Haberman that Trump said multiple times that he would not leave the White House to make way for Biden, even though Trump had lost every court challenge and Biden had been certified as the winner of the election.

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) is having a difficult reelection back home as he's being forced to answer questions from voters about his role in ongoing concerns over Russia and involvement in the attempt to overthrow the 2020 election.

Johnson is dealing with the controversy and his lies around his role in the 2020 election overthrow attempt. At one point, hours prior to officials being at the Capitol, Johnson was given an envelope with the fake electors for at least two states inside. He was to give it to Vice President Mike Pence. Instead, a top Johnson aide didn't seem to know what to do with it and reached out to a Pence aide, who said not to hand the envelope over. The fake electors' scandal is now an investigation by the Justice Department. One of those fake electors works for Johnson.
