Goldberg lashed out at the GOP, emphasizing that the ones pushing this were men like Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Rand Paul (R-KY).

Mike Lindell-inspired 'patriot' groups work to get voting machines banned across Pennsylvania

Mike Lindell's ongoing war against Dominion Voting Systems now extends to advocating for the elimination of the electronic voting machines entirely. Oddly, it has long been a question by liberals who have taken issue with a system that often doesn't provide a paper record of a vote tabulation.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette revealed that a conservative group motivated by the MyPillow CEO has formed in Pennsylvania to try and get electronic voting machines completely removed from Pennsylvania. The group has begun collecting signatures to get a referendum on the November ballot, which would be voted for on electronic voting machines.

Conservative columnist recognizes weaponizing Christianity in the GOP might not have been the best idea

Conservative columnist Gary Abernathy has a history working in Republican politics, but as he sees the GOP's new holy war he writes that he sees emerging into a movement for Christian nationalism.

Writing in the Washington Post Wednesday, Abernathy talked about the small church he went to as a child with about 75 people on an average Sunday. The sermons were about the message of Christianity with a touch of fire and brimstone for good measure. He noted that only on occasion was there a commentary on the Christian "underpinnings" of the country with quotes of Founding Fathers saying the word "God." It wasn't about rage over a political party or policies being good or evil.

Judge unseals nine additional paragraphs from Mar-a-Lago search warrant affidavit

Judge Bruce E. Reinhardt on Tuesday unsealed more of the pages from the affidavit for the FBI search warrant issued for the classified documents Donald Trump took with him to his country club in Palm Beach, Florida.

There were two grand jury subpoenas issued prior to the search at Mar-a-Lago, the pages detail. They were part of the ongoing litigation around the special master. Federal prosecutors told the judge Tuesday that they've already talked about the special master in another case with the judge overseeing the grand jury and that that judge approved the disclosure of the information redacted previously

Top DOJ officials concealed at least 70 pages of Trump’s Census question about citizenship: new book

One of the battles that landed Donald Trump's administration in court was over his demand that a Census question ask about the citizenship status of those living in homes around the country. The concern is that Trump would use that information to proceed with his promise to deport "probably 2 million" — and possibly 3 million — people who are in the country illegally. There was also a fear that documented immigrants would be too scared to fill out the census.

Writing in his book "Holding the Line," former US Attorney Geoffrey Berman, from the Southern District of New York, recalled the court case and the quick way in which the main Justice Department took over the investigation, replacing SDNY in the State of New York et al. vs. the United States Department of Commerce.

Lindsey Graham says he doesn't care about 'states rights' on choice: 'The rest of the world' should know the US position

WASHINGTON — Republicans spent the summer arguing that the states should have full control over whether they will allow abortion in their borders. That position changed this month when Congress returned from the August Recess and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) proposed a nationwide ban that would force the restrictions on all states.

In one case, a decision was made by the voters of Kansas in a ballot initiative that would have allowed the legislature to move forward with a ban of abortion. Kansas voters rejected it.

How Bill Barr blocked investigations to protect Trump in Ukraine probe: new book

The new book written by former U.S. Attorney Geoffrey Berman, of the Southern District of New York, makes a number of accusations that former Attorney General Bill Barr went to great lengths to protect Donald Trump and any of his allies. Over and over, Berman cites examples of Barr doing "Trump's bidding."

The Ukraine scandal began as a probe into Rudy Giuliani associates Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, who were funneling cash to politicians from corporations. Each of the cases involving Fruman and Parnas also involved Giuliani, he explains in Holding the Line: Inside the nation's preeminent U.S. Attorney's office and its battle with the Trump Justice Department.

Legal experts demand action after bombshell book details rampant DOJ corruption

It shouldn't be a surprise that corruption was running rampant throughout the government of Donald Trump. The last six years have been filled with stories about ethics problems by Cabinet officials, political retaliation, self-protection, political promotion and more.

Exclusive: Michael Cohen says Berman's book confirms his allegations — and demands the former US attorney be prosecuted

Donald Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen has long said that he was disproportionately targeted by the Justice Department and the Department of Corrections after it became clear he would no longer cover for his former client.

Former U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, Geoffrey Berman, has spoken to Congress. He also spoke publicly after he was shoved out of the Justice Department by former Attorney Bill Barr, for refusing to go after allegedly innocent people tied to former President Barack Obama. But another foe of Trump ultimately became Cohen.

Senate Judiciary announces investigation into Trump DOJ for serious ethical breaches

Former Barack Obama counsel Gregory Craig was indicted by Donald Trump's Justice Department, and according to a new book by a former prosecutor at the Southern District of New York, the case was all part of a partisan plot ahead of the election. The alleged directive came straight from the top: Donald Trump.

MSNBC's Rachel Maddow got a copy of the book, which begins with Geoffrey Berman saying that he was told that as a Republican he needed to "take one for the team" and do the indictments against Democrats to "even the score."
