In a strange agreement with President Joe Biden, former President Donald Trump railed against the war in Afghanistan and the pointlessness of continuing to be there.

Speaking to Fox News host Sean Hannity, Trump said that Afghanistan isn't fighting the Taliban because they're no longer being paid to do it. He claimed that, for years, Afghan fighters were doing the work on the ground because the U.S. was paying them to do it and supplying them with the weaponry to do it.

Speaking to Sean Hannity on Tuesday, former President Donald Trump promoted what he said was perfect leadership in Afghanistan under his presidency.

First, he claimed that in the last year-and-a-half, no Americans died in Afghanistan. According to the data from iCasulties.org nine US people died in 2020 and 22 died in 2019.

There are stacks of rules that members of Congress must follow when it comes to ethics and one of those is that officials can't accept book advances.

"The Governor has been testing daily, and today was the first positive test result. Governor Abbott is in constant communication with his staff, agency heads, and government officials to ensure the state government continues to operate smoothly and efficiently. The Governor will isolate in the Governor's Mansion and continue to test daily. Governor Abbott is receiving Regeneron's monoclonal antibody treatment," said a statement form his office.

In Texas, COVID-19 cases have exploded again and Gov. Greg Abbott (R-TX) banned any municipality or school district from mandating masks -- but that hasn't stopped some anti-maskers from continuing to cause problems.

The Eanes Independent School District in Austin wrote a statement this week detailing the situations that have come up as a result of the face mask battle, reported The Macon Telegraph.

NBC News reporter Scott MacFarlane reported Tuesday that a website maintained by a former Capitol intern about the underground tunnels beneath the U.S. Capitol exploded with web traffic the day prior to the attack on the building.

Speaking to NBC Washington, MacFarlane explained that Elliot Carter, who runs the website WashingtonTunnels.com, was worried that people were trying to find escape routes or entry points to the building during the attack or for the attack. His concern made its way to leadership in the U.S. Capitol Police.

MSNBC's Andrea Mitchell explained that the image the world saw of a packed flight rescuing Afghani allies was almost exclusively men. Indeed, the horrific image of Afghanis running and holding onto the landing gear of a departing C-17 was also all men.

"For them to have been so backed up by red tape, despite the fact that Congress a month ago cut that red tape and approved legislation to speed the special visas for them and still, only 2,000 have reached here," she began. "They're talking about thousands more of family and people who need to be evacuated. The fact that that debacle happened at the airport, watching human beings clinging to C-17s and that picture you showed at the open and the pictures in Richard's piece showed mostly men jammed into that C-17. That's because women are afraid to leave their homes."

Right-wing firebrand Laura Ingraham blames President Joe Biden for the tragic withdrawal from Afghanistan, but her main concern is the idea that Biden would allow any Afghanis into the U.S.

Both sides of the aisle have advocated for the U.S. military to go get those who helped American soldiers over the past 20 years out of the country and to a safe and secure life. Not Ingraham, however.
