Employer of anti-masker who 'deliberately' coughed on supermarket shoppers announces she 'no longer works' there

A woman who refused to wear a mask inside a Nebraska supermarket and apparently "deliberately" coughed on other customers "no longer works for" her now-former employer, software giant SAP.

The viral video, which has received over 4 million views in just two days, shows the woman, almost giddy, as she claims to have "allergies" and "maybe" a medical condition, while coughing in the direction of other shoppers who recorded her actions.

On Thursday, Axios reported that recipients of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine feel "left in the dark" in government planning for COVID-19 boosters.

"The administration has said it is eyeing boosters for the mRNA shots available from Pfizer and Moderna and the FDA will meet regarding Pfizer's booster data in mid-September," reported Marisa Fernandez. "But while the White House has said it is looking at J&J boosters, the plans have not yet publicly included them. Nerve disorder listed as 'very rare' side effect of AstraZeneca jab

The European Medicines Agency has listed the neurological disorder Guillain-Barre syndrome, which can cause temporary paralysis, as a "very rare" side effect of the AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine.

A causal relationship was "considered at least a reasonable possibility", the EMA said in an update Wednesday after a total of 833 cases of the syndrome had been reported worldwide by July 31, from about 592 million doses of the AstraZeneca "Vaxzevria" shot administered.

Armed South Carolina woman attacks police detective at aquarium after profanely ranting against masks: report

On Wednesday, Live 5 News reported that a Lisa Bostick, a South Carolina woman who was in possession of a loaded gun, attacked a police detective at the South Carolina Aquarium after refusing to wear a face mask.

"The incident happened last Sunday when a detective was working an off-duty assignment at the aquarium and was approached by employees who were requesting to have a guest removed from the center for failing to comply with several requests to wear her mask," reported Ray Rivera. "A report states that Bostick told staff members to 'f*ck themselves' when asked to pull her mask up from her neck to her face in order to be in compliance with the aquarium's policies. Police said as Bostick was leaving the gift shop, the detective approached her and asked her to follow him outside."

A state trial judge has cleared Florida school districts to enforce strict mask mandates for students until a state appeals court can decide whether the DeSantis administration holds authority to enforce a parental veto over masks.

Portland cops may get exemption from city's vaccine mandate for employees: report

On Tuesday, Oregon Public Broadcasting reported that the Portland Police Department could receive an exemption from the vaccine mandate that applies to all citywide employees — following counsel from the city attorney's office that applying the mandate to police may not be legal.

"Under Oregon law, local municipalities can only issue vaccine mandates for firefighters and police officers if there is already a federal or state rule in place that requires it, per an email from deputy city attorney Heidi Brown," reported Rebecca Ellis. "The city believed that requirement came on August 19 when Gov. Kate Brown issued a vaccination mandate for the state's healthcare workers."
