A believer in the QAnon conspiracy theory has been hospitalized with COVID-19 -- and now her allies are harassing the hospital where she's being treated to get medical professionals to dose her with ivermectin.

The Chicago Sun Times reports that the Amita Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago has been getting swarmed with angry phone calls from QAnon devotees who are upset that the hospital is not giving their ill comrade ivermectin, the anti-parasite drug that has so far not been proven as an effective treatment against the novel coronavirus.

The Wake County school system met on Tuesday to vote to extend the district's mask mandate, which must now be reauthorized once a month under a new New Carolina law.

"Wake has seen a surge in new COVID cases from the delta variant since traditional-calendar schools reopened two weeks ago," The News & Observer reported Tuesday.

An unhinged mask-hating Texas woman this week filmed herself harassing Bexar County Judge Nelson Wolff while he was grocery shopping because she did not like his recent ruling that kept school mask mandates in place.

San Antonio Express-News reports that the woman, a hairstylist who calls herself Ashley Rocks on social media, followed Wolff around as he exited the grocery store and berated him for keeping mask mandates in schools.

David LV Bauer, the head of the RNA virus replication laboratory at the Francis Crick Institute in London, recently found himself appalled after seeing his work being "hijacked" by anti-vaxxers as part of a propaganda campaign against the COVID-19 vaccines.

Writing in The Guardian, Bauer explains how anti-vaxxers deceptively edited an interview he gave in order to make him seem like a vaccine skeptic.

On Tuesday, People Magazine reported that Jed Duggar and his wife Katey are under fire for posting a COVID joke while announcing their pregnancy.

"Jed, 22, and Katey announced on Instagram Monday that they're expecting their first child together. As the couple kissed in their announcement photo, Katey held up a sign that read: 'And then there were 3. Baby Duggar. Spring '22,'" reported Dory Jackson. "Jed used a winky face emoji as he wrote alongside the post: 'She tested positive, but not for Covid.'"

On Tuesday, the Modesto Bee reported that the former law enforcement official responsible for spearheading the recall drive against California Gov. Gavin Newsom has COVID-19.

"Orrin Heatlie, the retired Yolo County sheriff's sergeant who started the recall movement last year, confirmed to The Sacramento Bee that he tested positive for the virus and has been isolating while recovering," reported Lara Korte. "Heatlie said he did not receive the COVID-19 vaccine prior to his infection, and his case was not severe enough to warrant a hospital stay or any extreme measures."

COVID-19 infection cases, hospitalizations, and deaths are skyrocketing, due to the delta variant, still large numbers of Americans who refuse to get vaccinated or wear masks, and children going back to school, many with no mask or vaccine mandates.

Dr. Anthony Fauci offered Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis' (R) a critical history lesson when he corrected the Republican governor for his careless remarks about the importance of getting vaccinated.

On Tuesday, September 7, the top infectious disease expert appeared on CNN's "New Day" where he addressed DeSantis' remarks suggesting getting vaccinated "doesn't impact me or anyone else." Fauci briefly discussed the historical timeline of vaccines and how critical they have been in the evolution of medicine.

A TikTok creator has died from COVID-19 after urging people to get vaccinated in her final video, filmed in her hospital bed.

"I don't have a lot of energy for talking, so I'm going to try to make this quick," Alexandra Blankenbiller said in the video, shared Aug. 15 with her 15,000 followers. "I did not get vaccinated. I'm not anti-vax; I was just trying to do my research. I was scared, and I wanted me and my family to all do it at the same time. As I'm sure you guys know, it's hard to get everyone to agree on something if people feel differently."

A coronavirus denier who spread QAnon conspiracy theories from the pulpit has been hospitalized with a COVID-19 infection.

Volusia County councilman Fred Lowry, who also repeated conspiracy theories about the pandemic and the 2020 election during sermons at Deltona Lakes Baptist Church, last attended a council meeting Aug. 17, reported The Daytona Beach News-Journal.

Fox News contributor Liz Peek blamed President Joe Biden and Black Americans for the low Covid-19 vaccination rate in the United States.
