Trump sex abuse accuser Rachel Crooks rips president's 'despicable' attack on #MeToo: 'He's never been held accountable'
Rachel Crooks, who accused President Donald Trump of sexual assault during his 2016 presidential election, said his remarks about the #MeToo movement during his recent rally in Montana were "despicable."
During an interview with MSNBC's Ari Melber, Crooks said: "Nothing that President Trump says anymore shocks me. But I think it's truly despicable. Nothing shocks me. He, of course, would make fun of it. He hasn't been held accountable for his own actions, so he would make light of the #MeToo movement. That makes perfect sense to me."
Crooks, who is running for the Ohio state’s House of Representatives, said the bright side of Trump's presidency is that women are starting to unite.
"The silver lining to President's Trump's tenure has been that women are uniting and resisting. We are fed up with this behavior," she said.
Crooks continued: "That is what the #MeToo movement is about. My candidacy is built on the idea that politicians seem to not be held accountable, and President Trump is the epitome of that. So, I will continue to speak out so that I can be a voice for women who feel like their voices are not being heard."
