Louisville tragedy becomes 146th mass shooting in just 100 days this year – Dem governor says two of the victims were his friends

At least four people are dead and another eight people have been injured after a mass shooting at the Old National Bank in Louisville, Kentucky, according to police. Monday morning's mass shooting is the 146th this year, according to the Gun Violence Archive. Monday is the 100th day of 2023.

"Of the at least eight people transported to a hospital, two are in critical condition," Louisville Metro Police Deputy Chief Col. Paul Humphrey said, CNN reports. "One of those two is a police officer who is currently in surgery, he said."

Tennessee House speaker admits he's powerless to stop reinstatement of expelled Democrats

Tennessee House Speaker Cameron Sexton (R) said on Monday that he could not stop two expelled representatives from being reappointed.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Sexton said that the speaker would not stand in the way of the reappointment of Democratic Reps. Justin Pearson and Justin Jones. Both were expelled after they used a bullhorn on the House floor to call for gun safety laws.

'No victims': U of Oklahoma sends students fleeing after report of a possible shooter

"Run. Hide. Fight." The University of Oklahoma sent out a massive alert telling its student body to run for their lives tonight.

Friday evening in Norman, Oklahoma, there was a possible active shooter situation reported at the main OU campus at the Van Vleet Oval, local KOCO reported. As of 10:45 p.m. CDT there were reports of "no victims," according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The scene at the South Oval was filled with police cars, video from the scene showed.
